Let's close the gap between
good ideas and effective action.
Strategy. Story. Systems.
You've done the research. You've seen the data. You know what works.
So why isn't it landing?
Work to improve health often stalls — not for lack of evidence, but for lack of translation. The science doesn't reach the people who could fund it. The program doesn't reach the communities who need it. The team doesn't have the bandwidth to do the work and also tell its story, navigate the politics, and coordinate across disciplines that don't naturally speak the same language.
I help leaders and teams doing critical work in medicine, research, and public health find the throughline between what they know and what needs to happen next — so the work doesn't just exist, it moves.
I listen deeply, anticipate where things will get stuck, and bring people into the room who need to be solving the problem together. I move fluidly between big-picture strategy and the granular detail — because the root cause of "this isn't working" is rarely where it first appears. And I believe the most effective and sustainable solutions come from creative collaborations that combine lived experience with technical expertise.
My approach is rooted decades of working at the intersection of science and storytelling:
-
Covering national and international health and science stories for NPR
-
Advising government agencies, nonprofit foundations, and healthcare leaders on communication and policy strategy
-
Directing strategic communications for a multidisciplinary health research group.

Let's work together.
I work with leaders and teams who...
-
Work to improve health and well-being — in medicine, research, public health, or related fields,
-
Navigate complex systems and want to manage the challenges and also leverage the opportunities,
-
Want to help shape what comes next, during this time of rapid change.
If that's you — hello. Let's talk.
STRATEGY SESSION
It's easy to get caught up addressing immediate needs. They can seem urgent and endless. But they are often symptoms of deeper challenges. This is an opportunity to step back, talk through those challenges, and gain clarity and confidence to prioritize practical next steps that will get you where you want to go. If working harder was going to get you there, you'd be there by now. A strategy session includes: - Pre-call questionnaire - 90 minute Zoom call - Call recording - Summary notes Investment: $350
